An der Tel Aviv University sind zwei Zvi Yavetz und zwei Thomas Arnold Fellowships ausgeschrieben. Die Bewerbung ist bis zum 1. März möglich. Als Kandidaten kommen Doktoranden infrage, die ihren Doktortitel zwischen Oktober 2012 und Oktober 2016 erhalten haben.
The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies
Postdoctoral Fellowships 2017-2018
The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies will award four post-doctoral fellowships of $30,000 each, for the academic year of 2017-2018: two Zvi Yavetz Fellowships and two Thomas Arnold Fellowships.
Candidates for a Zvi Yavetz fellowship must present a letter from a member of the Zvi Yavetz School of History, willing to serve as their sponsor. Candidates for a Thomas Arnold Fellowship can also be sponsored by a faculty member of the department of Jewish history at Tel Aviv University. They will be expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area.
All candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2012 and no later than 1 October 2017. Holders of PhD degrees from Tel Aviv University are not eligible for this fellowship.
Candidates are requested to submit documents affirming award of PhD, three letters of reference from experts in their fields, a curriculum vitae, a writing sample, a description of the work to be undertaken as fellows and an endorsement from the faculty member willing to sponsor them.
Recipients will be expected to participate in the post-doctoral seminar of the School of History, „Contextualizing the Self: Creating and Recreating the First Person“
