Online Publications of the Iranian National Library

The National Library of Iran (NLAI) has launched numerous publications online. A one-time registration with a valid e-mail address is required. In case of problems with the registration a short request in Persian or English can be sent to sana@nlai.ir. An effort that is worth it:

The archive offers numerous Persian newspapers and magazines from four time periods:

  1. Qajars (1779-1925) 41 titles so far
  2. Reza Schah Pahlavi (1925-1941) 11 titles so far
  3. Mohammad Reza Schah Pahlavi (1941-1979) 160 titles so far
  4. After the Islamic Revolution 1979, 26 titles so far

There is also a collection of magazines in English, French and German.

Journals in western languages

Despite the lack of DOIs and full text by OCR, the collection of the Iranian National Library is an interesting source.
