The University of Vienna is holding a workshop on Rethinking Research in/on Palestine on 25 June 2016. The programme will be added as soon as it is available.The Call for Papers is open until 31 May 2016.
Aims (from the Call for Papers)
Against the backdrop of a lacking institutionalisation of Palestine Studies at European
universities, the workshop will offer an excellent opportunity for advanced MA students, PhD
candidates, and early career researchers from European universities to present and to discuss
one’s own work. It thus aims at providing a space to discuss research projects as well as the
current research environment in order
(1) to develop new ideas about alternative, reflexive ways of producing critical knowledge on
Palestine and
(2) to provide a starting point for establishing a network of PhD students and researchers that
can be further elaborated and institutionalized.
