The project Palestinian Oral History Map presents oral testimonies from Palestinia on historic maps.
The result is an interactice map that allows you to explore the testimonies based on the historic landmarks they describe: Schools, hospitals, factories, rivers, valleys and mountains – all can be seen in the context of detailed historic maps from the 1940s.
The platform combines data from the Palestinian Oral History Archive (POHA) at the American University of Beirut with Palestine Open Maps (POM). The mesh-up of these sources turn the stories and places into a much more vivid user experience.
